Degrassi: Next Class Season 5

Matt Huether, the writer and executive producer of the Canadian TV series "Degrassi: Next Class", announced that the start of the 5th season is planned for mid-2018.

Netflix aired the finale of Part 4 in June 2017. The central figures of the drama are several charismatic teenagers living in Toronto.

The main characters are at an age when they are just learning to make the right decisions. They attend a regular city school, diligently attending classes and doing their homework. Young people spend their free time together with their friends, sharing their problems and listening to their advice. Some of them struggle with relationships with the opposite sex. The guys really want to love and be happy, but sometimes things go wrong for them. Conflicts also arise with their family members. Parents often do not understand their offspring and do not share their interests. Teenagers find it difficult to be at home, so they are increasingly hanging out in entertainment establishments. Many of them have gotten involved with a bad crowd. Someone has taken a desperate step and agreed to try alcoholic beverages and even illegal drugs. They will have to make a great effort to get out of the hole they ended up in from their own foolishness. Despite significant difficulties, classmates do not abandon each other in trouble and, if necessary, try to help their friends deal with emerging problems.

The main roles are played by: Amanda Arcuri, who appeared in the film "Every New Day", Ricardo Hoyos, the star of the projects "Haven Secrets" and "Kaijudo", Ehren Kassam, known for the TV show "Once Upon a Time" and "The Strain", and other artists.

The premiere episode was shown on January 4, 2016. 40 episodes were released. The story is dedicated to a difficult stage of the main characters' adolescence.
