Game Of Thrones Season 8

Game Of Thrones Season 8 release date

According to a long-standing tradition on HBO, another part of the fantasy series" Game Of Thrones "is shown in the first half of the year. In 2017, the seventh season of the series was aired.

Find out in this article when the next chapter of this fascinating story will be shown on an American cable channel.

The director of the HBO media network confirmed in an interview on January 7, 2016 that the filming of the franchise based on the books "A Song of Ice and Fire" will continue with a seventh and eighth part. You will be able to watch the 8th season of Game of Thrones on April 14, 2019. This information was announced in January, along with the release of the official teaser for the continuation of the series. Most likely, we can expect another six one-hour episodes to be shown until May of that year. The decision to have such a long break in airing was intentional and justified by time constraints - it will take at least a year and a half to create the next part of the fantasy project. Unfortunately for fans, this part will be the final one and we won't see a 9th season.

What will happen in the 8th season

The kingdom wakes up in the Black Castle after an attack by the White Walkers. The war with the people "beyond the wall" is in full swing. The Night King uses his zombie dragon to destroy everything in its path. There will be casualties - the first of them being Beric Dondarrion, the former leader of the Brotherhood Without Banners. The Wall is gone, so there is nothing stopping the threat from the North... Daenerys Targaryen, Jon Snow, Jorah Mormont, Tyrion Lannister, and others meet Sansa in Winterfell. The show's heroes will try to capture the Storm's End, where they will try to save their lives from the Walkers. Despite the tense situation that has arisen, no one wants to recognize Daenerys as queen, so the war for the Iron Throne continues.

Each episode cost $15 million, comparable to the budget of feature films. In order to keep the finale secret, the show's creators hired the strictest security for filming, including people who shot down drones belonging to the yellow press.
