Aleksandr Tsekalo, who heads the production center "Sreda," began filming the adaptation of Vadim Shefner's sci-fi novel in June 2016. The premiere of the series "Debtor's Lettuce" is scheduled to take place at the end of 2016 on the channel "Russia-1."

About the release of the second season of the series, which has not yet started on the blue screens, it is still too early to say, but if the project turns out to be as successful as other works of the director Alexander Kott, it can be assumed that the creators will present a sequel by 2018.

What will happen in the 2nd season

The plot tells about the life of people in the year 2113 in the Soviet Union, which has become a superpower communist state. Here lives an ordinary citizen Kortikov, who by fate meets a certain Pavel Belobrysov. The new acquaintance is completely different from the other residents and behaves very strangely. It later turns out that he was born in the XX century and was sent by extraterrestrial beings for an experiment to find a planet similar to our Earth. What will this acquaintance lead to and the fantasy film will tell.

There are plans to release 8 episodes shot in the style of communist futurism, telling the story of a person who can live up to a million years.
