Automata Season 2

Stephen Dengler, one of the producers of the American science fiction drama "Automata", has revealed that the release of Season 2 of the series is scheduled for mid-2021.

The finale of the first season took place in the summer of 2017. This detective story is based on the eponymous comics.

The plot takes the audience back to the 1930s. The action takes place in New York, where alongside ordinary citizens, there are living machines. They possess high intellectual abilities and are meant to help people solve emerging problems. A capable detective named Rigal takes a smart robot as his partner. They roam the streets of the big city in order to find criminals and punish them fairly. The guys enjoy detective work and devote all their efforts to their profession. Some representatives of humanity do not share the life stance Sam has taken. Many prefer to work together with ordinary people and do not consider it necessary to seek the help of machines. But the main hero holds a different opinion. He has no doubt that success is largely dependent on having an adequate machine in his ranks. The colleagues go through numerous obstacles, but in the end, they almost always achieve the goals they set for themselves and emerge as winners in clashes with criminal personalities.

The main roles were played by Basil Harris, known for the films "Safety Not Guaranteed" and "21 & Over", Doug Jones, who appeared in the movies "Gentle Revenge" and "Monster School", Jen Taylor, involved in the projects "Inheritance" and "Stealing the Stolen", and other artists.

The premiere episode was shown on June 27, 2017. 5 interesting episodes were filmed. The key character, together with their mechanized companion, is engaged in solving mysterious crimes occurring in the metropolis.
