For the sake of her career and interesting legal investigations, Joanna Henley tied her life to the noisy metropolis. However, she was not always on the side of the defendants. Sometimes she had to defend real criminals, going against her own beliefs. Such nuances brought disappointment in her profession and a desire to quit. To relax, the girl decides to return to her native town, located in the province, but her gained fame does not keep the visit a secret. A local company that produces pharmaceuticals turns to a young lawyer for help. Outbreaks of mysterious illnesses among schoolgirls that spread throughout the town have worried the population, making the owner of the pharmaceutical business a "scapegoat." Each of the girls received an injection of a new vaccine - a special development by local pharmacists. Joanna was convinced that the new client was another fraudster trying to escape punishment. But the new patient made her doubt. The sick girl, who was infected with the same unknown virus, did not receive the vaccine. Henley decides to find the true culprit, unaware that she has gotten involved in an extremely dangerous case.
