Based on real events, he starts to create the plot for new detective novels with Nikki Heat as the main character, with Kate as the prototype. During their collaboration, he falls in love with his own character.

After the finale of the seventh season, ABC did not announce any planned continuation, but also did not declare the end of filming. We can find out exactly when the eighth season of "Castle" will be released as soon as the network management announces it. Until this information is made public, we can only assume that the creators of the detective show will not deviate from their tradition and will show a new part of the story after the summer break - on September 21, 2015.

Thanks to its high ratings, which have remained steady throughout practically all seasons, it can boldly be said that ABC will not cancel the series, at least after the seventh part.
