The television network "Gazprommedia" plans to release the film Chernobyl Exclusion Zone by the end of 2019, which will be based on the eponymous TV series aired on TNT and TV-3. Russian screenwriters promise to complete the film franchise with a project worthy of Hollywood awards.
The plot will allow viewers to immerse themselves in the secret world of the radioactive zone, where truly incredible events take place. Evgeny Nikishov mentioned in one of his interviews that even a newcomer to the world of Chernobyl Exclusion Zone (CEZ) will be able to watch the movie. The plot will be constructed in such a way that knowledge of the series is not mandatory. Additionally, there are expected to be four different endings, which according to the creators, will be an incentive to re-watch the film at least once. The movie will replace the 3rd season, which, despite the huge expectations of fans, is currently not planned to be filmed.

After Vershinin returned to the fourth sarcophagus, where a device for time travel was built, his new journey begins. Pasha, Gosh, Lesh, Nastya, and Anya, together with Colonel FSB, will search for answers to many questions that bother them: what virus caught the main character, how many more "zones" exist, and how to return to the original reality. In order to understand all this, they will have to travel many years into the past. Perhaps this phenomenon originated with the first nuclear weapon tests and created holes in space and reality? It is precisely this that the fearless teenagers who have lost their way in the secret corridors of the temporal continuum will find out.
The familiar to viewers group of actors will be led by Kazinskaya Kristina (Anya), Davydov Kostya in the role of Vershinin, Romanovich Sergey as his best friend Alexey, Khalilulaev Anwar (Georgy), and the charming Dmitrieva Valeria as Anastasia. In addition, new television actors will be involved, whose identities will be revealed closer to the premiere showings in theaters in Russia and the countries of the former CIS.
The television science fiction drama Chernobyl: Zone of Exclusion (CEZ), was first shown in the fall of 2014. The project consists of 16 episodes divided into two seasons. The show has received numerous awards and is rightfully considered one of the most successful projects of TNT and TV-3.
