1930s, USA, the height of the Great Depression. Remote regions were particularly hard hit by the crisis. A pastor arrives in a small town in Iowa. He propagates ideas of revolution and revenge against the wealthy among the rural population. The city authorities, on the other hand, sent a strikebreaker. He is supposed to prevent the pastor's plans to incite a uprising of the common people. The inhabitants of the settlement are divided into two camps - those who want to be freed from the shackles of taxes and slavery, and those who want to leave everything in its place and submit to authority (mostly prosperous entrepreneurs). But no one suspects that the two antagonists sent from the city are actually blood brothers. Why did their paths diverge so dramatically, and how will two blood relatives compete with each other? After all, not only personal relationships are at stake, but also the lives of ordinary citizens. A bloody uprising is looming, something like a civil revolution. And now the expression "brother goes against brother" takes on a very real state of affairs.
