Eduard Kulagin is an experienced military pilot, skillfully piloting his aircraft, as well as literally adoring the skies and charming girls. But an unpleasant news awaits the pilot: due to his disobedience and tough character, he will be dismissed from the military aviation, and it will be impossible to challenge this directive from the management. The man cannot live a day without flying, so he gets a job in a civilian airline to continue his favorite activity. The retired military officer has a good service record and extensive experience, so he quickly finds a new job. Not everything is as good as he wanted here, because the second pilot to the sky lover Kulagin is a young girl named Kira Ovchinnikova. Edward does not like this at all, and he tries by any means to get rid of his partner. But the young pilot turns out to be far from being a meek one, she confidently proves to her partner that she deserves respect. And then, the heroes develop a relationship that is far from professional, although initially they couldn't stand each other and thought that they would never be able to work together.
