Insomnia Season 2

Kinostudio Welldone Production has announced that the start of Season 2 of the foreign action movie "Insomnia" is scheduled for the first half of 2019.

The final of the first part will take place in the middle of 2018 and is expected to be broadcast on the "Starz" TV channel. This crime drama is an adaptation of an original domestic production project. The screenplay for the show was written by Ilya Kulikov, who is known to many for his Russian series: "The Sword", "The Law of Stone Jungles", "Chernobyl", and others.

Season 2 Preview

The story centers around the cunning organizers of an interesting game, the conditions of which put the lives and health of innocent citizens into question. The thing is, the participants of this incredible competition stay in good health only when they don't sleep. Ordinary guys and girls become victims of this sacrilegious experiment. They are constantly in danger and afraid to close their eyes, because if they do, they won't just lose the competition, they'll die. The main characters, who agree to be experimental subjects, are well aware that they are risking their lives. But the promised incredible prize motivates them to take action, so they can't refuse. With each passing hour, it becomes harder for the competitors to fight off their sleep impulses and stay awake. The number of contestants significantly decreases. The tournament is nearing its end, and the exhausted daredevils realize what trouble they've gotten themselves into due to their own foolishness and the desire for easy money.

The main roles were played by Dylan Everett, who appeared in feature films such as "Grandpa is Undercover" and "Sworn Friends", Ingeborga Dapkunaite, who appeared in films such as "Men's Life in Autumn" and "Matilda", Sean Teale, known for his roles in the series "Dark Matter" and "Krypton", and some other actors.

The premiere is scheduled for the beginning of 2018. The Russian version of the film consists of 16 episodes. Several volunteers decide to participate in this monstrous game, with stakes that are truly horrifying.
