Villanelle is a professional killer who suffers from a mental disorder. Despite her high efficiency, the girl is self-willed and loves thrills. She works not just for money, but for the pleasure she gets from each sophisticated murder. Her popularity among major clients ensures her constant work and a stable income that allows her to live a luxurious lifestyle. However, foolish victims begin to irritate her, as each subsequent murder becomes easier than the previous one. In an attempt to entertain herself, Villanelle starts to deviate from the clients' assignments, leaving behind evidence and daring the employers. Eve Polastri, who works for the British intelligence agency MI5, traces the connection between a series of unsolved murders committed in different corners of the world and the death of a prominent politician from Russia, who was killed in Austria. After providing the gathered information to the management, Eve receives a reprimand. Meanwhile, the head of MI6, the espionage department, confirms the veracity of the data collected by Eve and creates a special department to capture the criminal. Polastri, supported by the higher-ups, embarks on an exciting hunt, breaking free from the tedious paperwork. However, she has no idea that Villanelle, who has learned about the existence of an intelligent and unorthodox opponent, has long noticed Eve as her next victim.
