The promising and highly-rated series "Mata Khari" with its 2nd season will appear no earlier than 2018. This historical drama is produced in collaboration by authors from three countries: Ukraine, Portugal, and the Russian Federation. The film is produced by Star Media company.

The project will be aired at the end of 2016 on Channel One. Despite the fact that the series was created by Russian directors and screenwriters, English was chosen as the narrative language, with subsequent translation into Russian. This is an autobiographical film based on real events. The plot revolves around a controversial and extremely extravagant personality.

Born as Margaret Zelle, as she grew up, the lady was forced to adopt a creative pseudonym. After an unsuccessful marriage, she sought to leave her homeland as far as possible in search of a better fate. To support herself, the beauty decides to earn money through dancing. She became so loved by the audience that any door would open in front of her. The girl was a desirable guest in high society. During World War I, she becomes a spy.

The lead role in the film was brilliantly played by a Frenchwoman by origin, the magnificent actress Vaina Djokante. The project also featured world-renowned stars such as Gerard Depardieu and Christopher Lambert. Among our compatriots, Alexey Guskov, Svetlana Khodchenkova, and Maxim Matveev stand out.
