Evgeny Nikishov, the producer of the dramatic project "Dead Lake," announced that Season 2 will be released in the first half of 2020.

The final episode of the first part will be aired on the "TV-3" channel in the spring of 2019. The creators of the thriller TV series admitted that they drew inspiration from the folklore of the northern peoples.

Maksim Pokrovsky works in the police department. He lives in the Russian capital and holds a responsible position in the Ministry of Internal Affairs. On the orders of the higher authorities, he has to urgently leave Moscow and go to an inconspicuous town located in the northern part of the country. The young man needs to conduct a thorough investigation and find out the name of the bloodthirsty criminal. Recently, a ruthless offender appeared in the district. The cunning criminal committed the murder of a young girl. The victim of this heinous crime was the daughter of a powerful billionaire. The grief-stricken father decided to find the culprit of the tragedy at any cost and avenge the untimely death of his beloved child. The key character has to solve a rather complex case. The determined guy starts getting to know the townspeople and discovering their secrets. Gradually, the resourceful man realizes that the residents of the Siberian taiga have something to hide from the public.

The main roles are played by: Evgeny Tsiganov, involved in feature films "Territory" and "Dialogues", Alexandra Rebenok, who appeared in the films "Matryoshka" and "Ikarie", Lev Prygunov, who participated in the TV series "Officers" and "Brezhnev", and other actors.

The premiere is expected in April 2019. 8 episodes have been filmed. The hardworking investigator attempts to uncover a mysterious criminal act.
