After several months of behind-the-scenes squabbles and games, the Match TV editorial staff finally parted ways with their most charismatic and meme-worthy employee - Vasily Utkin. The commentator went off on his own, but the channel prepared a surprise for both Vasily and the viewers. Utkin appeared in a series with an ironic title that reflects his situation - "The Indomitable".

Interestingly enough, the sports commentator plays, quite strangely, himself. In addition, he is both a co-author and a scriptwriter. The project's plot is based on real events, of course, with the addition of artistic imagination. Vasily Utkin's cameo conducts his usual commentary during a football match. But something goes wrong, and Vasya simply falls asleep in the middle of halftime after a tough night. After viewers have spent a good half of the game in silence, the editor-in-chief finally finds the culprit of the sleepy match and fires him. But how can this be - after all, Utkin was supposed to commentate on the central matches of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia! He cannot miss such an epochal event and only experience it as a spectator. Vasily Utkin must commentate on the performance of our great national football team! The editors, however, do not agree with this intention. How can Vasily return to his commentator's seat and oversee the main event of his life?
