The Ukrainian multi-episode melodrama "Threads of Fate" is an adaptation of a Korean series called "Glass Slippers."

The death of his wife completely throws Dmitry off track, he is broken and devastated, left with two daughters, little Katerina and newborn Olya. It is very difficult for him to raise his daughters alone, although he tries his best. However, the loss of his beloved does not pass without a trace, and soon the lonely widower gets leukemia and dies, leaving the girls alone in this cruel world. The child welfare service places them in an orphanage, but the girls run away, trying to get to Moscow, where their grandfather lives. Along the way, Olya gets hit by a truck, and fearing criminal responsibility for the accident, the driver takes her with him. As a result, the girl loses her memory and spends her childhood with completely unrelated people who do not give her affection and love. Katerina reaches her grandfather, who never refuses anything to his granddaughter and takes care of her in every way. The grown-up sisters will meet by fate, not even suspecting their kinship. They will compete for the heart of Vadim, a young man who is very interested in the girls' struggle for his attention. Can the feuding beauties find out about their blood ties and reconcile? After all, the young competitors are completely absorbed in their rivalry, fighting for their feelings.
