Optimisty Season 2

The channel Russia-1 is going to release the second season of the multi-series drama "Optimisty" closer to 2018. The film company "Mosfilm" and producer center Valery Todorovsky have made a decision to continue the domestic TV show, the shooting of which is scheduled for 2017.

More than five years were spent on developing the script. It was filmed not only in Moscow, but also in Belarus and France. The drama is being aired on the TV channel "Russia 1". The main characters are young, talented, and full of optimism. They believe in their own success and the ability to influence the current situation in the country. The action of the film takes place in the distant 60s of the 20th century. The young talents have recently graduated from higher educational institutions and are called upon to defend the interests of the Soviet Union in the world community.

Season 2 Preview

They work at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. However, due to their inexperience and insufficient qualifications, their opinions are often ignored. The guys travel a lot to foreign places, keep up with the latest fashion trends, and manage to have fun and build romantic relationships. The youth tries not to get discouraged even in difficult situations and radiates optimism in far from easy times, such as during the Berlin Crisis. When a plane is shot down by enemies, they are entrusted with investigating the circumstances of the case and finding a worthy way out.

The main role was played by Vladimir Vdovichenko, a laureate and nominee for numerous awards, best known for the cult film "Boomer". Also, distinguished artists such as Yuri Kuznetsov and Anatoly Belyy, as well as the younger generation represented by Yevgeniya Brik and Severija Janusauskaite, took part in the project. In the director's chair is Alexey Popogrebsky, the author of "How I Ended This Summer".

The first season, consisting of 12 thrilling episodes, starts in 2017. The plot revolves around Soviet politicians who are actively interested in the course of history and contribute to the development of the Motherland.
