Vera and her brother lost their parents several years ago. Now the older sister takes care of the teenager and tries to replace his father and mother. But adolescence is a difficult time, so the girl struggles with her responsibilities. She is simultaneously studying at the institute and is forced to work in the evenings. An affluent man appears in the girl's life, who has his own business. It seems that their romance should at least alleviate the financial difficulties in Vera's family. But the man notices that the simple and open girl has fallen in love with him and decides to betray her. He orchestrates a major scam. The girl becomes the main suspect in a criminal case. After a while, Vera realizes what is happening in this strange affair, but she is arrested. As a final act, she decides to truly rob the businessman and steals several million rubles from him. During her time in prison, Vera comes up with a cunning plan for revenge against Maxim and his associates. She learns that the criminals lead ordinary lives - they also have loved ones and children. Now she plans a long and cruel revenge to break free from all her failures.
