Seven Seconds Season 2

Lawrence Bender, one of the producers of the crime drama "Seven Seconds," revealed that the start of the second season is scheduled for early 2019.

The media service Netflix showed the finale of the 1st season in February 2018. The story is based on the Russian film called "Major".

What will be shown in the 2nd season

The plot of the TV series begins with a terrible incident on the road. A young man failed to control the car and hit a cyclist who was speeding towards him. He didn't notice where the cyclist came from. The body ended up in a ravine. The driver was scared of responsibility and couldn't bring himself to look at the victim. He called his friends, who are also law enforcement officers. The arriving policemen persuaded him to hide the evidence and not tell anyone about what had happened. The man agreed with his comrades' arguments and went to the hospital, where his pregnant lover eagerly awaited his arrival. It soon became clear that he had hit a young dark-skinned boy. He was taken to a medical institution. Doctors are afraid to make predictions. They doubt that the victim will survive. A black woman, who holds a position of a lawyer, shows interest in the case. The girl understands that the investigation is being conducted incorrectly. She decides to figure out the situation and find the true culprit of the tragedy.

The key roles were played by Claire-Hope Ashiti, who appeared in the films "The White King" and "Shooting Dogs," Russell Hornsby, who participated in the feature films "Fences" and "Meet the Parents," Michael Mosley, who starred in the films "Fluidd" and "The Proposal," and other actors.

The premiere took place on February 23, 2018. 10 episodes were filmed. The action takes place in Jersey City, where racial discrimination exists.
