The detective series "Springfloden" concluded with the final episode of Season 1 on May 15, 2016. The young student, who investigates a seemingly hopeless case, became so beloved by the audience that the creators of the film immediately began shooting its continuation.

The premiere of the 2nd season is expected on May 5, 2017, on the Swedish channel SVT1. The project was produced by German, Belgian, and Swedish film studios, who have once again invited Nicolas Olson as the main director.

What will happen in the 2nd season

The center of the crime drama is Olivia, a young student learning the art of unraveling the most complicated cases. In the police academy, she is assigned to try herself as an investigator on a murder case that happened in 1987. Back then, a pregnant girl died on the Nordkoster island. There was a witness to the murder - a nine-year-old boy who saw how three unknown individuals buried the victim in the sand and waited for the tide to drown her. Detective Tom Siltan, who was investigating the crime, was at a dead end due to lack of evidence. And now Olivia is digging into the past again, meeting Tom, who has become a homeless alcoholic over the years, and together they unravel this old puzzle. In the next season, the young investigator will face new dangers during the investigation.

The detective was shown to a wide audience on March 6, 2016. Since then, fans of the genre eagerly caught every one of the 10 filmed episodes, revealing the mystery of this mysterious murder.
