The final episode of the romantic drama from the American channel Showtime "The Affair" was shown to a wide audience on December 20, 2016, so fans of the series have long been waiting for the release of a new season.

The film tells the story of marital infidelity, which often affects couples whose marriage is cracking. This happened to Allison, whose fate took away her very young son, depriving her of the meaning of life and pushing her towards suicide attempts. Despite the loving efforts of her spouse, despair did not leave her heart until she met Noah on her way. This man was very successful: a happy marriage, well-paid job, four lovely children. An unknown force attracted them to each other, destroying the already established families and forcing all four people involved - Allison with her husband and Noah with his spouse - to experience the consequences of such actions. In the upcoming season, the couple will have to endure even greater spiritual torment and find ways to stay together in any situation.

The series premiered on October 12, 2015. In the two seasons that have been released, viewers have seen 22 episodes, which depict all the difficult consequences of marital infidelity.
