She does not suspect that the friendly stranger is an influential sultan and has a numerous harem. The young woman struck up a conversation with the attractive man and trusted him. He helped her to move to the necessary place. The ruler became infatuated with the enchanting beauty and decided to take her to the elite palace. The stubborn lady did not want to become anyone's concubine. She had a lovely boyfriend with whom she planned to get married. But a French spy convinced the modest teacher to go to the castle and pass compromising information to him. Otherwise, the heartless scoundrel threatened to harm her parent. The other residents of the harem hostilely reacted to the appearance of the graceful teacher. The proud women were not going to share the beloved pasha with the newly appeared upstart and mercilessly mocked the poor girl.
