The mystical thriller "The Exorcist" debuts on television screens on September 23, 2016. The series about priests who dedicate themselves to freeing human souls from evil spirits has exceeded all expected ratings, promising significant success.
The film was created by experienced director Rupert Wyatt, who created a multi-series project commissioned by FOX. It's too early to talk about the second season, but in case of renewal, it can be seen no earlier than autumn 2017.
What will be shown in the second season
The story begins in a once prosperous and respected family that has been attacked by demons and now suffers from their negative influence. The relatives turn to two priests for help. Lang and Ortega have fundamentally opposite views on exorcism and faith in general. Upon arriving, the church ministers discover that the unclean force has not just settled here, but has firmly entrenched itself in every corner of the house. The power of evil is so strong that now the priests will have to fight not only for the lives of the family members, but also for their own. Ortega and Lang will have to unite in order to confront the demonic entities.
The number of episodes planned for release is not disclosed yet. It is only known that fear and horror will fill each of them.
