The plot revolves around the wife of an American prosecutor. Alicia Florrick takes care of the house and children. Her husband earns a lot of money, so she doesn't need to work. Everything changes in an instant. Her spouse gets caught up in a scandal of a sexual nature. It affects his career and ability to support the family. The situation is worsened by accusations of Peter's involvement in corruption schemes. In the end, he gets arrested, tried, and sent to prison. From that moment on, the responsibility of raising the children falls on Alicia's shoulders. An old friend, Will Gardner, helps her get a job in a law firm. She becomes Will's junior partner. However, three decades of being a housewife and her husband's betrayal inevitably take a toll on the heroine. She has to overcome many obstacles to prove to herself and others that she is capable of taking care of her family. Inner struggles are not the only problems Alicia faces. She has to deal with a wave of resistance in the workplace. People strive for success and are willing to make many sacrifices for it.
