A representative of the Platinum Dunes film studio announced that the airing of the 3rd season of the project "The Purge" is scheduled for the second half of 2020.

The television channel "SyFy" plans to broadcast the final episode of the second part at the end of 2019. The events described in the TV series unfold in an alternative reality.

The action takes place when the government has started active struggle against criminal elements. One day, the authorities realized that it was necessary to not only issue strict decrees, but also to provide citizens with a unique opportunity to release all the pent-up negative emotions. With this goal in mind, everyone was allowed to do absolutely anything they pleased on the only day of the year. People are given complete freedom. They can do irreparable things and face no consequences. Any person has the right to vent their accumulated negativity on complete strangers, beat them unconscious, and even take their lives. No one is held criminally responsible for murder. Everything is forgiven. After the bloodshed, they continue to live as if nothing happened, forgetting about the horrendous incidents. On the eve of such a night, the key character receives a mysterious message from his closest relative. The marine understands that he should return to his hometown and find out what happened to his beloved sister, Penelope.

The main roles were played by: Gabriel Chavarria, known for his roles in the films "Teacher of the Year" and "Loss," Paulina Gálvez, noticed in the TV series "Owners of Paradise" and "Crazy Criminal," Jessica Garza, who appeared in the TV shows "Biology Course" and "The Real Genius," and other actors.

The premiere will take place on September 4, 2018. There are 20 episodes. The main character makes a desperate attempt to protect his family members from mass riots.
