A representative of Universal TV studio announced that the premiere of the 22nd season of the project "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" is scheduled for autumn 2020.
The management of the "NBC" channel plans to broadcast the final of the 21st part in the spring of 2020. The story revolves around a brave group of unparalleled specialists dealing with particularly complex and controversial cases.
What will happen in the 22nd season
The authors of the suspenseful TV show continue to tell the story of the incredibly difficult and eventful weekdays of the police force, whose members specialize in quite brutal crimes. They diligently catch rapists and sexual maniacs. Sometimes it is difficult for the guys to perform their difficult work, especially if the victims are small children subjected to abuse. They often have to interrogate ruthless criminals and catch real psychopaths. Because they closely interact with such individuals, they become unrealistically exhausted. Sometimes they feel like they won't be able to survive the horrible tragedies they witness unintentionally. Due to nervous breakdowns, some of the heroes have to visit psychologists and open up to strangers. Despite the huge problems and heavy workload, law enforcement officers try not to get depressed and believe in the best. They understand that they are strictly forbidden to lose hope and give up. Ordinary citizens hope that law enforcement officers will protect them from cunning criminals.
The main roles are played by: Mariska Hargitay, known for the films "Perfume" and "Devil's Advocate", Tamara Tunie, noticed in the series "Billions" and "Zoo Apocalypse", Dann Florek, who starred in the feature films "Cast Away" and "Joe Somebody", and other artists.
The premiere took place on September 20, 1999. The season consists of 19 - 25 episodes. The story focuses on police officers who strive to fulfill their job responsibilities well while also devoting time to their families.
