She moved to a small settlement in the hope of forgetting about her past mistakes and starting anew. This is where the former fraudster spent her childhood. She hoped to live a peaceful life, but failed. Cunning smugglers have taken a liking to the small village, disrupting the peaceful coexistence of the local population with their neighbors. In addition, a lifeless body of an unlucky fisherman is unexpectedly discovered in the area. His body was viciously mutilated. Law enforcement agencies begin an investigation and narrow down the circle of suspects. Suddenly, the main character learns that a large part of the local residents are half-human, half-mermaids.
