Watchmen Season 2

Damon Lindelof, the executive producer of the TV series "Watchmen," has announced his intention to prepare and premiere Season 2 no earlier than fall 2020.

The finale of the first season will be broadcast on the "NVO" channel in the autumn of 2019. The fantastic action movie is based on a series of legendary comics. The action takes place in an alternative reality.

What will happen in the second season

The events take place in America, where, in addition to ordinary citizens, fearless superheroes live. They dress in noticeable costumes and dream of possessing supernatural abilities. The world has changed not only thanks to their appearance. The nimble Doctor Manhattan intervened in the course of history and forced the opposing sides to cease fighting in Vietnam. Due to his controversial decision, President Nixon continues to hold the responsible position of the head of the greatest state for the third time. Relations with the Soviet Union have been severely damaged. In such a difficult situation, the main characters try to find their true purpose and become famous as brave individuals. The guys begin to control the city, but soon the government realizes that they are dangerous for society. The authorities call them criminals and declare a hunt for them. Law enforcement officers must chase them through the streets and arrest them if they manage to get close to them.

The main roles are noted by: Adelaide Clemens, involved in feature films "Silent Hill: Revelation" and "The Great Gatsby", Andrew Howard, who participated in the films "The Proposition" and "Taken 3", Frances Fisher, who appeared in the series "Genius" and "Swedish Dicks," and other artists.

The premiere is scheduled for the first half of 2019. Prepared 10 episodes. The creators claim that most of the characters will be completely unfamiliar to the audience. However, it will not do without well-known comic book heroes.
