Veronica, an employee of the investigative committee, experiences a terrible tragedy. Her husband was killed by an unknown person on the day of their wedding. There is no trace left of their cozy home, career prospects, and quiet family happiness. As it turned out, Konstantin was not the only one who died. The police found a woman's body at the crime scene. She was the wife of an influential businessman. Presumably, there was a love affair between Lera and Kostya. Veronica cannot believe that her husband betrayed her. However, detailed circumstances of the crime remain a mystery. Nika is tasked with investigating this strange case. It is obvious that Lera was killed as a threat to her husband. But how did a husband of an employee of the investigative committee end up in her life? Veronica takes on this case, but she is suspended. Someone does not want the details of the ordered murder to become known to the wife of the deceased. Veronica independently collects evidence and tries to uncover the truth. But the police are unhappy with the fact that the woman is meddling in their business. What was the connection between Konstantin, Lera, and her husband? Why were they killed? Why are the police hiding the investigation?
