Dominic Tredwell-Collins, executive producer of the mini-series "A Very English Scandal," announced that Season 2 will be shown in mid-2019.
The final episode of the 1st part was broadcast on the "BBC One" channel in June 2018. The events described in the dramatic story take the audience back to the second half of the last century.

The action takes place in Great Britain. The English accept a decree that prohibits the persecution of representatives of sexual minorities. Homosexuals have a chance to openly declare their orientation and not be afraid of ending up behind bars. Jeremy is gay but carefully hides the truth from the public. He attempts to build a brilliant career in politics. The young man takes the lead in the liberal party movement and actively fights for citizens' rights. In the past, he was involved with Norman. After breaking up with his attractive lover, the main character rightly fears that his ex-lover will seriously harm his work and reveal a terrible secret. The charismatic young man realizes that the bomb can explode at the most crucial moment and ruin his progress up the career ladder. He understands that the only way to eliminate the threat is to eliminate the talkative Scott.
