The story revolves around a charismatic guy from the United States who is given a responsible task. He goes to a Russian small town and gets a job at Gazprom. The young man pretends to be a Russian citizen named Menshov. He is directed to a regional division of a large corporation engaged in gas extraction. He arrives in Noyabrsk and gradually gets acquainted with his immediate colleagues. He needs to gain their trust and obtain important information about the organization's activities. He knows that Russians have created a unique development that they do not want to share with foreign competitors. He needs to find out the company's secret. On his way to the coveted goal, there are numerous insurmountable barriers. A significant obstacle that complicates the work is the difference in mentality. At first, it was extremely difficult for him to understand what his colleagues from Russia live for and what they like. He is attracted to a charming girl named Marina. The clever young man also tries to make a strong friendship with a simple worker named Valera.
