The thoroughly noir British series "Age of the Living Dead / Age of the Living Dead" will be released in 2018 (broadcast rights acquired by Voltage Pictures). The project is directed by Paul Tanter ("Kill Ratio", "Jack Falls", etc.). Among the well-known actors involved is Estella Warren ("Planet of the Apes").

The plot revolves around a world overrun by bloodthirsty monsters and a plague-like virus that makes survival nearly impossible. Vampires now rule the planet, and some of the remaining humans try to resist them. The unrelenting war between these two races escalates every day, spreading to new territories and becoming increasingly widespread. Only a nuclear attack, developed by humans, may be able to eradicate the vampire clan once and for all. The storyline also intertwines the story of a group of people who essentially serve as weekly donors for the vampire society. Are they performing this ritual under the threat of death, or perhaps they manipulate the vampires themselves? The series is intriguing, with excellently shot scenes, a dark atmosphere, and a twisted narrative that warrants high praise from critics.
