The Canadian series "Anne" was shown on the Netflix service. The premiere took place on 19th March 2017.

The story tells about a thirteen-year-old girl named Anne. Her parents' lives were cut short when she was 5 years old. Since then, she has been living in a children's shelter. By chance, she ends up in a foster family. She manages to escape from the shelter and leave by train. An old maid lives together with her older brother. They had been eagerly expecting a new addition to their family, but there was a mistake and instead of the expected boy, a teenage girl arrived. Of course, they accept her, but there is still dissatisfaction. The young man was supposed to help with the household chores, as the family lacked physical strength. The stepmother treats the girl with dissatisfaction. In addition, the young ward from the children's shelter needs to integrate into a new school community. The boys and girls reluctantly accept the orphan. She has to fight for her place in the sun. Gradually, she finds a circle of friends, but many girls see her as an unpleasant rival. Gradually, Anne understands how she needs to behave in order to gain respect among her peers. First love, tears of separation, and disappointments. Moreover, the home atmosphere remains tense.
