What will happen in the second season

The action takes place in India. British soldiers are preparing to capture peaceful citizens and subjugate them to their will. They intend to become the sole owners of fertile lands. Cunning leaders of the East India Company have a huge army with which they plan to carry out a global revolution. However, besides reliable allies, they also have fearless opponents. The authorities force poor peasants to sign disadvantageous agreements and sacrifice their own plots in exchange for peace and temporary security. Great Britain enters into a confrontation with the French government, which pursues similar goals. Each of the states hopes to become the sole superpower and leave its enemies far behind. In such difficult conditions, John Beecham makes a rather ambiguous decision. The retiree arrives in Delhi hoping to forget about his troubled past. The brave man hastens to settle in a luxurious mansion and surround himself with trustworthy people. He tries to hide from aristocratic society that he is raising a little child who cannot boast of a distinguished origin.

The leading roles were played by: Tom Bateman, who appeared in the series "Cold Feet" and "In the Dark", Bessie Carter, involved in feature films such as "The Les Misérables" and "The Good Liar", Gregory Fitoussi, who starred in films like "The Emperor" and "Brotherly Love", and other artists.
