The multi-series show "Blood Drive" consists of 13 episodes and was created by James Roland, the creator of successful projects. It premiered on the Syfy channel in June 2017. The filming of this fantastic drama took place in Cape Town, South Africa, a popular tourist city.

The world is on the brink of ending. Poverty, destruction, and desperate crime are everywhere. The most valuable product on the planet is drinking water, which is dispensed through devices resembling ATMs. In Los Angeles, police officer Arthur is responsible for maintaining law and order, but his precinct is taken over by private management. The world no longer needs employees with high ideals, but Arthur remains true to himself. He is against violence and cruelty and never loses hope of making the city a better place. The police officers are sent to a mysterious warehouse where they discover a closed performance for selected maniacs and lunatics. The compère announces the start of bloody car races, fueled by human blood. Engines devour human flesh in front of the crowd, and to prevent the participants from leaving the racecourse on their own, navigation chips are implanted in them. Failing his mission, Arthur becomes a participant in the races, and his partner becomes the calculating and cruel Grace, who uses men only as fuel.
