A domestic sitcom about the lives of graduate students. The main characters are commonly referred to as "nerds" in society.

High intelligence and excellent skills in a certain field. However, even the greatest intellect does not save from ordinary life troubles that can lurk at every step. Three friends (and at the same time three neighbors) Ivan, Tolya, and Volodya were expelled from the university dormitory. The lifestyle of cheerful students did not please the administration. Now the hapless graduate students had to find themselves a new place to live. The only option is to rent an apartment. The landlady becomes Grandma Glasha, who at first glance appears kind and hospitable. But, as it is known, first impressions can be deceptive. The grandmother from "a dandelion puff" turns into a real demon with the habits of a prison warden. Adding to the atmosphere is the fact that two real tough guys with corresponding nicknames live next to our nerds. One of them is simply called "Chetkiy" (Clean-cut), and the other is honored with the title "Otvortka" (Screwdriver). The only bright spot in this complicated student life in rented apartments is the landlady's granddaughter, Nadya, whom all the inhabitants of this large apartment fall in love with immediately.
