The leadership of NBC announced the cancellation of the TV show "Constantine" during a press conference with journalists on May 8th, 2015. The creators of the show explain this as a result of unsatisfactory low viewership from the United States, which decreased by almost 30% since the premiere. However, there is still a small chance that the story of John Constantine will continue if they decide to buy the idea on another channel. Meanwhile, the actors from the show will participate in the spin-off of the fourth season of "Arrow" on The CW channel.

About the show

The plot revolves around supernatural events that occur close to humanity. Angels, demons, and restless souls wander nearby and can possess people. Only exorcists like John Constantine can expel creatures from the body. Together with the daughter of a long-time friend, Zed, taxi driver Chas, and the help of the angel Manny, they maintain the balance of good and evil on Earth, which infernal creatures desperately try to shift.

The show released on NBC is also an expanded version of the movie "Constantine: Master of Darkness." The plots differ, as the series is more closely related to the events of the comic.
