It is quite possible that the script is only intended for one part. If Russia-1 channel continues the filming process, then the second season of the crime drama should not be expected before 2018.

About the show

The script of the TV series "Dengi" is based on the autobiography of the most famous counterfeiter in the USSR, Viktor Baranov. The criminal genius, who actually existed, but created forgeries not for enrichment, but in the name of science. Acting alone, he managed to master 14 printing specialties using available books. During the investigation, detectives believed that a whole gang was operating, but during Baranov's arrest, they were surprised by the ingenuity and size of the mini printing workshop. The Minister of the Interior of the USSR received recommendations on money protection from the criminal, which were outlined on ten sheets of paper as a bonus after the counterfeiter's arrest.

The series "Dengi" is intended for eight episodes, each running up to 50 minutes. It is unlikely that there will be a continuation of the multi-series film, as Alexey Barannikov, like his real-life counterpart, was detained and arrested at the end of the plot.
