A slightly risky but very interesting mix of several cult series in one, cohesive and unique project. Although most of all, this American TV series reminds me of the story of specific and extraordinary companions - Sherlock and Doctor Watson, the latter of which is played by the famous Elijah Wood, by the way.

The storyline tells us about the self-confident and audacious, yet highly educated and collected private detective, Gentley, who possesses a special weapon that he often uses in his investigations - the detective has extrasensory abilities. He has chosen the extravagant definition of "holistic" for himself and firmly believes that everything in this world is interconnected, all the events are intertwined.

On the other hand, his assistant and partner doesn't have any extraordinary abilities, although recently the young man has started to notice certain analytical skills in himself. Todd was deeply affected by the breakup of his punk rock-style band and by chance became a witness to the gruesome murder of a well-known millionaire. After that, he met the unparalleled Gentley, who, from the first moment, decided that their meeting was a gift from fate and together they are capable of understanding all sorts of puzzles and solving even the most complex cases. Todd doesn't really believe in the plausibility of such a theory, but in order to somehow recover from depression, he joins the eccentric detective.
