The project can confidently be considered as one of the brightest representatives of the horror genre, and the beauty of the Arctic landscapes, coupled with the cruelty and unpredictability of this world, will appeal to everyone and keep the intrigue until the very end. It should be noted that the TV series was mainly filmed in the northern regions of Great Britain and a little in the beautiful snowy Iceland. Watching the series is strongly recommended for adults.

The story will tell about the polar Arctic town of Fortitude, whose population, considering the harsh climate of these parts, is quite decent - 713 people. The city critically lacks funding, and the local mayor Odegard comes up with a rather interesting project to attract finances to the region. For lovers of exotic and unconventional vacations, it is planned to build an extravagant hotel that will be located inside a glacier. However, such ideas are not approved by local ecologists, led by Professor Stoddart, they believe that construction will disrupt the balance in the ecosystem and adversely affect the usual environment in these places. Soon Stoddart is killed under very mysterious circumstances, and a detective from the UK is sent to investigate the details of the mysterious murder. This detective is not particularly liked by the local sheriff Andersen, they constantly conflict. Several more murders occur in the town, which only intensifies the tension, and the residents begin to suspect everyone in these cruel crimes. And they do not realize that their troubles have only just begun and it will only get worse.
