The events of the series "Front" take place during World War II. A German company involved in the development of atomic weapons attracts the attention of Soviet intelligence. The concern employs a Polish woman, Katerina Shtur. She is a physicist who ended up in captivity from Warsaw. Living in constant fear instilled by the Gestapo, she obeys the orders of the German leadership. But the girl dreams of escaping captivity and giving up her activities, which will inevitably lead to a catastrophe. Vlad Volny comes to Katerina's rescue. He was recruited by Soviet intelligence agents. Now, the young man must infiltrate the atomic factory and bring Shthur to Moscow. As it turns out, Vlad initially gained the girl's trust and made her work for the fascist invaders. But romantic feelings arise between the young people, so Volny decides to work for the Soviet Union in order to save the girl from captivity again. However, he is given a task to eliminate a dangerous witness who worked for the German leadership.
