The TV series "Gunesi Beklerken" reflects the everyday life of modern Turkey, and the characters are ordinary natural people that one can meet in real life.

Demet is the owner of an unprofitable shop in a very provincial town. She alone raises her daughter, Zeynep. When their financial situation reaches a critical point, Demet's friend, Zale, who works as a director at one of the best colleges in Istanbul, offers her help. Zale suggests that Demet move to Istanbul, find a job, and send Zeynep to college. Demet hesitates for a long time, and her daughter refuses to move, having grown accustomed to a calm and measured life in the countryside. Despite Zeynep's attempts to run away from home, her mother prioritizes her daughter's future above all else and accepts the offer. In the new city, both of them have to practically start a new life. Zeynep awaits new acquaintances, temptations of the big city, and intrigues in the relationships of her peers. The mother will unexpectedly confront her past and understand what prompted her friend to offer such unexpected help. The series contains all possible plotlines - the search for missing relatives and the acquisition of new ones, complicated love relationships, and the schemes of enemies.
