Neil Cross, the creative inspiration behind the TV series "Hard Sun," has revealed that the second season is expected to be released in the first half of 2019.

The finale of season 1 was shown on the streaming service "Hulu" in early 2018. The plot revolves around law enforcement officers forced to work together.

When her son grew up, he tried to kill his mother and set her house on fire. The mother forgave her mentally unstable offspring and visited him in a closed institution. The leadership gives her another assignment. The beauty must become a part of the department where Inspector Hicks works. He falls under suspicion of higher authorities. The woman must gain his trust and become his reliable partner. While she gathers information, a terrible event occurs. The key characters investigate a strange murder and learn about an impending apocalypse. This information is carefully guarded from outsiders. Influential individuals begin to threaten the main characters and their families. They demand silence and the return of the obtained flash drive. The drive contains data about the upcoming end of the world.

The main roles are played by: Jim Sturgess, known for his roles in feature films "London Fields" and "The Cursed House," Derek Riddell, who appeared in films "28,000" and "Bad Sugar," Agyness Deyn, who starred in films "The Titan" and "Patient Zero," and other artists.

The premiere took place on January 6, 2018. 6 episodes were filmed. The script tells the story of two clever lawkeepers who get involved in a deadly game.
