The setting is modern London. Scientists have made an amazing discovery that has shocked all of humanity. The end of the world is soon to come, after which all of humanity will become extinct. There is no chance of salvation. This situation has fundamentally changed the lives of millions of people. Crime rates have sharply risen all over the world, and London is no exception. It is here that two detectives named Elaine Renko and Robert Hicks serve. They have a strained relationship with each other. They actively fight criminals of all sorts, but increasingly question the meaning of their work in the face of imminent death. Hicks is an excellent family man who is incredibly meticulous in his work, but he has a huge skeleton in his closet - he is a corrupt cop. Renko has experienced a serious personal tragedy and is constantly in a depressed mood. It is difficult to connect with her or understand what she truly thinks. Despite her strange personality traits, she is crystal clear when it comes to bribes and corruption. As the number of crimes in the city rises, the partners embark on new investigations. The lives of many people depend on their coordinated actions.
