Homeland Season 9

Howard Gordon, one of the producers of the drama TV series "Homeland," revealed that the 9th season should not be expected to air before 2020.

The finale of the 8th season will air on "Showtime" channel in the second half of 2019. The main character becomes a fearless soldier who has had to overcome an unreal amount of obstacles in order to return home.

What to expect in the 9th season

Nicholas served in the Marines and performed dangerous missions for a long period of time. The last operation didn't go as planned. After the mission, no communication was received from him by command. The search yielded no positive result. Since 2003, the missing soldier was considered deceased. However, he was found during a difficult special operation, hiding among powerful terrorists. Criminal elements tortured and forced him to reveal compromising information about the American government. He held strong and didn't tell them anything. Due to his incredible bravery, he was allowed to return to the United States. The exhausted young man underwent thorough interrogation. He endured everything and instantly became a national favorite. However, Officer Mathison doubted his innocence in criminal activities. The ambitious woman fully considered the possibility that he may have been assisting the terrorist organization in preparing horrific crimes. He was able to prove his loyalty to the country and began fighting ruthless enemies.

The talented portrayals of key characters were done by: Mandy Patinkin, who was involved in feature films such as "Pinero" and "The Adventures of Elmo", Maury Sterling, who appeared in movies like "Dead Meat" and "The War That Follows", Claire Danes, known for TV series like "Dudley" and "Portlandia", and other artists.

The premiere took place on October 2, 2011. Each season consists of 12 episodes. The brave sergeant had to spend nearly a decade in captivity.
