After the disappointment that crept into her soul after a sad encounter with her ancestor, the naive provincial makes a deliberate decision to stay in the noisy metropolis. Her paths cross with the charismatic saleswoman, Ira, who is obsessed with the idea of marrying a wealthy Muscovite and no longer worrying about finances.
