Katia release date

The series "Katya" is an adaptation of the formerly famous 80s television series "Roseanne" from the ABC channel. The filming and creation of the new show based on the old motives was undertaken by the STS channel, which recently bought the copyright to the film from Sony Pictures.

As you may have already understood, the main plotline of the series revolves around Ekaterina and her large family of five people. The housewife Katya desperately tries to preserve her marriage. In this difficult problem, her sister and loyal friends help her figure things out. The lovely chubby woman constantly tries to tame her husband, whose head is filled with sawdust, and her completely uncontrollable children.

The show is a multi-series situational comedy with elements of drama. The original aired on ABC from 1988 to 1997, spanning nine seasons and around two hundred episodes of 20 minutes each. An example of a successful adaptation by STS is the series "Voroniny," also made by Sony Pictures Television under the license of the American comedy "Everybody Loves Raymond." Let's hope that this TV series will also be loved by the audience.

The approximate release date of the pilot episode of the show is the end of 2017.
