The actions of the TV series are set in the Krasnodar Territory, where the investigation of experienced Major Yegor Daursky leads. The man tries to figure out the circumstances of the murder of an old friend and his lover, who were killed in one of the Cossack villages. Here, the police officer is actively hindered by an organized criminal group led by the ruthless bandit Surov, but suddenly, representatives of the local Cossacks and their chieftain come to the aid of the operative. Having figured out the general situation in the quiet town called Primorsk, Yegor is transferred from the capital department to the local police and tries to help Ataman Peter Lazarev restore order in his native lands. He is driven not only by professional duty; the young man is also very attracted to the local beauty, Cossack girl Dasha. The girl helped Daursky to settle in Primorsk, familiarized him with local customs and peculiarities, thanks to which the brave operative quickly went through the adaptation process and developed sympathy for the girl.
