The crime TV series "Limitless" has been airing on CBS since September 22, 2015. The show's plot is based on the eponymous film, which was released on March 8, 2011, and adapted from Alan Glynn's novel.

The main character of the series is Brian Finch, whose life changes dramatically after a meeting with Senator Edward Morra. During the meeting, he gets to try an unusual drug called NZT, the effects of which allow a person to unlock almost 100% of their brain, consciousness, and body's capabilities. The substance, which is being pursued by the government, FBI, police, millionaires, and criminals, puts Brian in the crosshairs. Thanks to the consumed NZT, he manages to escape the chase, but the effects of the magical pills eventually wear off. To save his life, he will have to collaborate with the police, specifically with Rebecca Harris, who is investigating cases related to the recently emerged mythical substance. Since quitting NZT is impossible without lethal consequences, Finch becomes a sort of consultant, assisting in the search for similar individuals and uncovering related cases of murders and crimes linked to the drug.
