Caroline Williams, the executive producer of the American drama series "Maniac," has announced that the third season of the comedic story is expected to air in 2020.
The final of the second part will take place in 2019. The media service "Netflix" is responsible for broadcasting. This project is a talented adaptation of the eponymous Norwegian TV show.
Season 3 Announcement
The central figure in the narrative is a nice young man named Espen. Despite his fairly mature age, he tries to get everything out of life, sincerely rejoicing in insignificant events and enjoying every day lived. The hero sees only good qualities in the people around him, not noticing anything bad. Such citizens are said to be slightly out of this world, with some peculiar behavior. He strives to help numerous friends, offering them his friendly shoulder, and never refusing support to those in need. However, the man does not even suspect that all his happy life is just the fruit of a sick imagination. In reality, he is a patient at a city psychiatric institution, where caring staff tries to help mentally unstable individuals improve the situation and slightly improve their mental health.
The main roles are played by Emma Stone, who participated in feature films "The Help" and "Friends with Benefits," Jonah Hill, who starred in films "The Watch" and "21 Jump Street," Justin Theroux, known for films "Spy" and "The Leftovers," as well as some other equally outstanding artists.
The premiere is tentatively scheduled for the beginning of 2018. A total of 10 episodes are prepared. The key character is in a clinic for the mentally ill, but believes that he has absolutely no problems.
