Mech release date

The criminal TV series "Sword" premiered on the TRK Ukraine channel on November 16, 2009. Each season, released on air, consists of over 20 episodes. Starting from the twenty-first episode, the show moved to the Russian channel NTV.

The plot of this multi-series action movie tells the story of operative Max Kalinin, who works in the department for combating organized crime. Before serving in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, he spent several years as a commander of a reconnaissance platoon in the Airborne Forces, participating in armed conflicts in Chechnya and Transnistria. In the line of duty, a UBOP officer arrested a dangerous criminal, who turned out to be the nephew of a high-ranking official. During the trial, the captured criminal gets a suspended sentence, while Maxim, refusing to assist in lawlessness, is dismissed without the right to be reinstated in law enforcement agencies. This injustice forces him to turn to the other side of the law in order to administer justice himself. The first victim becomes the criminal who escaped punishment, receiving a knife in the heart after learning his sentence. This act inspires Kalinin to create a group of punishers called "Sword," whose members, in his opinion, will be a more effective model of justice. The first member of the group is Kostya Orlov, who served as a sniper alongside him. According to the plan, they intend to seize money from the bandits in order to fight impunity, but the war turns in the opposite direction, and the FSB and bandits start hunting down the members of "Sword."
